Banner Finishing

Recently asked if it was better to weld or sew the edges of banners. We have always welded our Reinforced PVC banners and finished them off with brass eyelets. My understanding is that the increased strength is because the material is doubled over. So weldeing or sewing just finished the banner off and has no effect on the additional strength of the banner. The thickness or weight of the material used is more important. we use 550gsm reinforced PVC banner material Also called vinyl (or vinal or even vinel). Of course if you prefer a more natural look Canvas banners are the answer. This needs to be sewn. More info on vinyl banners
