Banner Finishing

Recently asked if it was better to weld or sew the edges of banners. We have always welded our Reinforced PVC banners and finished them off with brass eyelets. My understanding is that the increased strength is because the material is doubled over. So weldeing or sewing just finished the banner off and has no effect on the additional strength of the banner. The thickness or weight of the material used is more important. we use 550gsm reinforced PVC banner material Also called vinyl (or vinal or even vinel). Exhibition Stands from the Far East

Should you steer clear of display stands that originate from the far east?

More and more trade show displays and exhibition stands are coming into the UK from the Far east. The scare mongers out there who find it hard to competed on price will try to convince you that these cheap imports are rubbish. What the truth? Before we sell any product regardless of it's origin we test all display stands including banner stands and pop ups are. Exhibition equipment need to be above all reliable so our display equipment is rigorously tested before we offer anything for sale.

We have tested many products from the Far East over the last couple of years and yes there have been some serious quality issues with some of the samples we have been sent. But among all these display stand samples there have been some really well engineered products. But there have also been some great display products which have gone on to be best sellers and offer clients reliable service show after show. Pop up stands, banner stands, folding stands and I'm sure there will be more to come.

Our policy which has stood us in good stead is to sell the best value products that offer total reliability regardless of there country of origin. That way clients get the best products at the best price.

Online Banner Design

We have been printing banners for over 17 years. Gone are the days of hand painting PVC banners and canvas banners. Now we use state of the art large format digital printing machines to produce stunning customised banners. The most popular material is still reinforced PVC often referred to as Vinyl banners. Our latest innovation is going to be an online design facility so our clients can create their banners online for us to print. They can customised their banners using a number of online tools which allow the to change fonts clours sizes backgrounds and upload their own photos.
I'm not sure how popular the service will be but doing beta tests on the site it's very easy to use and good fun. For those too busy or not of a creative bent we will still be offering a full customisation service.
Our design facility will be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
